Wow, just wow! I have used controllers and cdjs and these things are amazing! The touch screens make managing crates and music simple. You can also hook it up to Serato and use that library as well. Well designed. I have tried to find a flaw or issues and just can’t come up with anything. Great job Denon!

Fantastic! Fantastic unit, really makes me enjoy DJing again. The engine prime software is unfortunate — it’s definitely not rekordbox, but it’s fine enough as you don’t even technically need it to analyze tracks like you do for CDJs.

I would recommend this unit to anyone and everyone.

Great for a newbie. I am new to the digital dj thing, since all I do is vinyl on a djm 300 battle mixer. The switch was a bit intimidating at first due to the options and features available. It did not take long to figure out enough to have fun, which made it so I wanted to learn more. After about a week of heavy work on it, I started really getting it and have been having a blast since. The prep work is so much less time consuming and really allowed me to focus on the music again.

The ONLY negative is this thing is a TIME HOG. You will spend hours upon hours messing with the unit only to realize you are everything and anything you have plans to do.

A new era for the dj controller industry Standard. These were the first controllers I was enticed enough to pull away from my pioneer xdj1000’s, which I have to say from workflow to build I was never impressed with pioneer and always wondered why they were the industry standard. Really they just got lucky that all other producers’ products were so horrible it was easy for them to release plastic toys that when purchased brand new and top of the line editions always seem to have some loose sh$@ always rustling about and if you’ve owned them you know what I’m talking about. Anyway, I finally had to moonlight on ol pioneer when I saw the sc5000’s. From the enticing color scheme to the most important elements of a controller…that being….no not the pads kids….and no not the big ass tv it has for a display (though now at 10”!!) , rather the elements that make tables worth a crap, think back to actually spinning vinyl. If you can’t pull away from the computer I don’t consider you a true master of your trade and if you do you know the pitch control and the direct drive platters are what separated the pros from no’s. Denons pitch control and tables not even counting the models they’re up to now but they just hands down make pioneer look like they need to get into making kayaks or something. The fact that after over a year of having the 5000m’s I get an email regarding a firmware update that unleashed a hidden wireless network card never even marketed to the public…. just dropped out of no where with the ability to do what every dj had been talking about for years with the crappy lack of compatibility with rekordbox and any other format that would not only play but wouldn’t read a multitude of thubdrives. Finally the era of syncing to your phone or better yet beatport or whatever cloud service you hold the brunt of your music to unleash right at your fingertips never having to worry about if you’ve remembered your stick or not. I noticed there’s zero 6000’s or 6000m’s available which is awesome! I think the word has finally gotten out about them. I have cracked up this past two years watching DJ’s try to act like they don’t completely destroy the balls off of pioneers junk when they play on them it’s hilarious it never gets old! I will day they need to step it up in the mixer dept though, I still rock the dim 2000nexus. Still nothing out there better
